The 130 series tables are designed to maximize performance while minimizing physical size and cost. These tables use a low friction, preloaded, recirculating linear ball bearing system, which rides on a single precision ground linear rail. The single linear rail is mounted to a precision machined aluminum base, which offers a rigid support over the entire travel of the table's carriage. The load is mounted to a precision machined aluminum carriage, which has threaded stainless steel inserts for high strength and wear life. There are 30 different acme & ball screw options that offer high efficiencies and long life at an economical price. These tables are designed to allow for numerous options. They include EOT & Home switches, linear & rotary encoders, power-off electric brakes, motor wrap packages, and versatile mounting brackets for multiple axis applications.

MACRON Screw Driven Positioning Tables are flexible positioning systems consisting of highly accurate ball screw drive assembies providing precise linear motion in both horizontal and vertical operation.
Superior Performance
MACRON Ball Screw Positioning Tables are designed for long service life and have been tested at full capacity for thousands of cycles to ensure trouble free operation. The positioning table housings are cast from rugged yet lightweight aluminum. The drive assembly connects the motor to the table with a highly durable rolled ball or acme screw. This screw drive design offers superior performance including precise positioning, high moment loads and zero backlash. When selecting a screw table, important specifications to consider include length of travel, rated load, positional accuracy and maximum rated speed. MACRON Positioning Tables feature travel up to 48 in., loads to 2,000 lbs., accuracy to +/- 0.005 and speeds of up to 18 inches per second.
Components or Complete Systems
MACRON Positioning Tables are available as a single axis solution, assembled for a multitude of X-Y and X-Y-Z positioning duties or as part of a complete mechanical motion system. Many optional features are offered including screw pitch, ball nuts, acme bronze and plastic nuts, preloaded nuts to reduce backlash, custom motor mounting and various rail options for the linear bearing. There are several motor mounting options for MACRON Positioning Tables. Typical mounting consists of an integral Motor Mount and a motor adapter NEMA 23, 34 or 42.

The compound table 1 from isel consists of two linear guides LES 5 that are connected in rectangular way by two ground steel plates. In this basic version, the linear guides have a travel range of 420 mm. The individual axes are driven by a stepping motor and a ball screw drive with a pitch of 5 mm.
In order to reach very high load capacities, each axis is provided with four linear slides.
In addition to this basic version, it is possible to combine all linear guides LES 5 by means of connecting plates for compound tables from isel. You can choose from different travel ranges, pitches and drive motors to assemble an individual compound table.
The face-milled aluminium T-slot plates form isel are available in the widths 250 mm und 375 mm and in the lengths 592 mm, 692 mm, 792 mm and 1,092 mm. The scope of delivery includes the complete fastening material necessary.

The XM is the ultimate solution for the most demanding manufacturing and test and measurement applications. It meets ultra-precision motion requirements with high dynamics and reliability for 24/7 production environments. Typical applications include semiconductor wafer inspection, sensor test and calibration, laser machining and ultra-precision assembly.
Unlike screw driven stages, the XM employs a center-driven, ironless linear motor as the driving element. Since the linear motor is a frictionless direct drive device, there is no backlash or hysteresis, wind-up or stiction limiting the motion performance. The linear motor drive also offers the advantage of higher speed, acceleration and system responsiveness with no wear to motor brushes or drive screws. The extra-large, ironless motor coil ensures zero cogging for ultra smooth velocity control and provides higher efficiency compared to alternative stage designs. This results in significantly less heat generation, which is generally the main limit for ultra-precision motion applications. To further improve thermal management and its effect on stage performance, the XM also has the benefit of a sophisticated length decoupling of the magnetic track from the stage carriage.
XM stages are machined from stress-relieved 7075 aluminum, ensuring long-term strength and stability. All critical stage surfaces undergo multiple machining processes and precision grinding under strict temperature and quality control to further improve overall performance and accuracy.

-Velmex now makes UniSlide® Assemblies with dual sliders. These units are useful in application when two objects must share a common axis of motion. In addition, when a left and right hand thread lead screw is specified, the reciprocating action moves the objects together or apart. Uses for this type of motion include centering or mating operations for manufacturing or testing. Guide forks can be mounted to the UniSlide to insure roll goods of different widths are centered precisely. Assemblies are manual or motor driven. Independently driven lead screws are also available.

ALIO has developed ultra high precision rotary stages to meet and exceed today's demand for high precision motion.
Mechanical Rotary Stages:
Mechanical bearings rotary stages have been design with crossed roller bearings for improved stiffness for off set loads and rotational precision. The ALIO attention to materials and machining is maintained in the rotary product line as with the linear products making sure the bearings and metal are located in ultra machined parallel surfaces. (Notice the precision lands on the top of the AI-80R-D picture.)
ALIO stages have a standard 0.2 arc second resolution with the ALIO supplier motion controllers. Typical standard mechanical crossed roller bearings are rated at 20 microns or radial and axial runout with optional 6 microns is also available.

Special characteristic of the Elevation Stage ES-100 is its very compact structural shape. The Elevation stage is driven by a precision ground recirculating ball screw with 1mm pitch.
Newly developed crossed-roller bearings guarantee a maximum of rigidity and guiding quality. The motorization of the Elevation Stage ES-100 can be effected alternatively by DC-, 2-phase-micro-step (SMC-series) motor. The travel range is 10 mm or 26 mm.
For demanding positioning tasks the Elevation Stages ES-100 can be retrofitted or supplied cost-effective with a length linear system. Then the operation is running in closed-loop modus. Two mechanical limit switches are integrated in the elevation stage. Additionally we offer contactless limit switches.

In cell research, particularly in neurophysiology, complex measurement set-ups with fragile glass electrodes, such as those used in the patch clamp method, are gaining a key role for microscopic examination of all kinds of preparations. For example, brain section preparations are observed under an upright-positioned microscope as electrical signals are conveyed. In the experiment, fine glass electrodes are positioned to simulate efferent neurons. While signals are transmitted using these electrodes, the preparation under the microscope may not be moved with respect to the measurement test equipment set-up or the microscope. This means that moving the slide, for example, to position an additional electrode beyond the viewing field, would disconnect the preparation from the electrodes transmitting the signals. In this case, it is necessary to move the entire microscope with respect to the preparation. The microscope must be moved with the same or, ideally, with relatively high accuracy as expected of a conventional microscope X-Y stage used in such applications. The dimensions and load of a microscope that can weigh up to 40 kg pose a special challenge, however.
Available in two versions, the LINOS XY 500 LS X-Y stage overcomes this challenge. The X and Y axes can be moved from the front, from the side or both can be moved from the front. This stage provides a large central hole for using the microscope base port, for example, for a camera in applications that employ an inverse microscope. An attractive option is the customer-specific hole pattern for fastening the particular microscope used – this pattern is available at no extra cost.
