Two Proportional Flow Control Rates with One Valve: Hayward ProFile2 corrosion resistant, proportional control ball valves provide two linear flow curves; one for fast opening and one for slow opening. The percentage of flow through the valves with either flow curve is equal to the degree of opening. As the valves are opened or closed, the flow varies in direct proportion to the valve opening. This permits predictable, accurate control of the downstream flow rate with a 1/4 turn valve.
Unique Design "Characterized" Ball: These valves utilize a unique, patented ball with a special "characterized" opening that results in the linear flow rate change. Valves are shipped with the ball installed so that the smaller opening enters the flow first, creating the slow open rate. To switch to the fast opening rate, simply reverse the ball in the valve. With the larger opening first, the flow starts fast with slower, more controlled changes as the ball is turned to "full open".
Perfect With Positioners: Hayward ProFile2 Proportional Control True Union Ball Valves can be supplied with optional electric or pneumatic actuators with positioners for automated modulating service applications.

The P21 High Performance Spherical Disc Valve is designed to meet tomorrow's demanding requirements for containment of solids, powders and slurries. Engineered for pressure assisted sealing from full vacuum to 150 PSI. GEMCO valves use a spherical disc which moves across the seat wiping material away from the sealing area. This self wiping action eliminates pinch points - the source of most valve wear. The P21 is offered with standard ANSI or DIN flanges and ISO actuator mounting.

Bex LA - Flush Mounted Ball Valves
LA valves are designed to be used on suspended fluids in the pulp and paper industry. The vave is aimed to meet some basic demands.
In sampling applications it must deliver a tru part of the main flow.
In drainage applications there must be no risk of clogging.
Installed the valve must not cause any heavy dynamic stress to the pipe or the wel
To meet the demands the fluid ahead of the ball must continuously be renewed. The ball must in practice be a part of the pipe wall. The flow ahead of the ball must also be turbulent and at very low velocity the fluid must be mobile. The design of the weld-on flange that is thin and with a conical entrance facing the ball ensure the function.
In drainage applications the fluid can be standing in front of the ball. The fluid can not be allowed to dewater into the valve body as normal for a ball valve. Fibers that get wedged between the ball and the upper seat ring can initiate a clogging problem. Of this reason the LA valve will always have a cavity filler around the ball.
La valves are designed to add as low weight as possible to the pipe wall and the welding. The weld-on flange is thin has a low weight and is easy to handle. The valve body will add a low weight to the weld-on flange and the center of gravity will be close to the pipe wall. The dynamic stress on the pipe and the welding will be low. |
