The Bestobell range of gate valves are extremely versatile and are particularly effective when a low valve pressure drop is vital to the efficiency of the system. The use of a PTFE wedge face allows the valves to achieve minimal leakage rates not normally associated with this valve type. The innovative ‘flexible wedge’ design has been developed to achieve a tight shut off.
The stainless steel gate valves (DN50 – DN80) feature Bestobell’s unique removable seat design to eliminate the risk of ever needing to cut out the body from a pipeline once it has been welded in place.
Extended spindle valves are available for liquid service, along with standard spindle lengths for use on ambient gas requirements. All materials used are selected for their suitability to function at cryogenic temperatures. All valves are degreased for oxygen duty.

Our engineers have provided us with the capability to modify Flowserve Vogt Valves with Limitorque or Valtek operators very quickly. The usual long delay for motor operated valves has been eliminated by utilizing a standardized actuator with standardized mounting accessories from stock.
The Vogt valve of your choice can be converted to motor operation in our shop and performance tested on the same exacting equipment used to qualify valves for nuclear service. The valve and actuator are then ready for immediate installation with limit and torque switches set and checked by Vogt craftsmen.
If in field conversion of an in-service Vogt valve is desired, we can supply the field conversion parts and actuator pre-assembled for fast installation.

Stainless steel cryogenic emergency shut off gate valve with bolted bonnet and integral pneumatic actuator. Fail safe and automatic operation. The valve is held open by pneumatic air pressure and closes automatically on air vent or the loss of the pneumatic air supply pressure, for whatever reason.
The bellows type pneumatic actuator includes a single convoluted air spring actuator of rubber connections with manual override.
The valve has a wedge seat design for tight shut off to seal on the downstream seat only in order to prevent liquid lock. The bolted bonnet allows for simple site maintenance, with easy access to the serviceable parts of the valve.
All valves are degreased for oxygen duty, assembled in clean room conditions and pressure tested prior to despatch.

HCU - HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT
Hydraulic Control Unit
Our HCU activates the opening and closing of valve gates on your hot runner system. This hydraulic control unit works independent of your injection molding machine. The hydraulic control unit has its own electrical board, motor, hydraulic tank, solenoids and cooling system.
A manometer enables you to check the hydraulic control unit operating pressure and the thermostat indicates any excessive temperature in the solenoids. The hydraulic control unit works through a 24 pin Harting mounted on the side wall of the electrical board.

The VG-type Slide Gate Valve, which is entirely manufactured in carbon steel, ensures safe interception and excellent durability. The ideal equipment for heavy-duty applications, the VG Slide Gate Valve is available in larger sizes than the VL-type (see relevant page) and is equipped with two replaceable seals. In the VG version the Slide Gate Valves have a square cross section, in the VGR version a rectangular one.

VORTEX® QUANTUM SERIES ORIFICE GATE
The patent pending Quantum Series Orifice Gate is specifically designed to handle dry bulk solids in gravity flow, dilute phase, or vacuum conveying systems.
A full flow orifice provides unrestricted conveying of material with no disk or ledges to impede flow or cause material bridging. The gate seat and live-loaded seals are shielded from blast abrasion by a metal insert, which provides a smooth bore through the valve improving performance and decreasing any pressure drop across the orifice.
By design, the valve “self cleans” material from the seat on each stroke of the valve blade, improving overall seat life. The Quantum Series Orifice Gate is designed to eliminate problems, enabling you to meet your objectives by increasing production, while decreasing labour and equipment costs.
