The electric forklift truck is used mainly for internal use in manufacturing and warehouse applications. The forklifts are powered by a heavy duty battery which can hold their charge for about 8 hours. The truck consists of frontal forks mounted on a hydraulically controlled mast for vertical and horizontal movements, mounted on a 3 or 4 frame wheel base.
Electric forklifts are mainly used for interior applications such as warehouse and manufacturing industries.
With its 3 or 4 wheel base the trucks are directed by the rear wheel(s) and powered by the front wheels. The trucks contain forks on the front which are attached to the mast for manipulating the goods in a horizontal and vertical direction. These forklifts are powered by electric engines situated on the rear of the truck to help counterbalance the loads. The battery generally lasts 8 hours and has a recharge timing of 16 hours.
