Electric stackers are used to lift and transport pallets in warehouse industries. With their frontal forks, attached to the mast, they are powered with a heavy duty battery. Available in three types: pedestrian, stand-on and sit-on, the maximum load and the maximum reach distance can vary from one to another. The distance which an electric stacker can cover depends on the capacity of its battery.
They are used generally for indoor applications such as warehouse industries to transport and stack pallets to and from storage racks.
Available in three operating set-ups: pedestrian, stand-on and sit-on, the principal technologies stay the same. The forks situated at the front of the stacker, are attached to a mast and are used to manipulate the pallets. The legs of the stacker can be standard size (width of the forks) or they can be straddle to give more stability and suitable for closed pallets and containers.
The three different set-ups allow for the operator different visual points while operating the loads.
The maximum loads, plus the maximum reach required for manipulation, are major factors when choosing the electric stackers.
