Gravity roller conveyors are used to transport goods along the top of the conveyor either on a push-line or an inclined gravity arrangement. Both curved and straight line movement is possible. These systems are commonly used in many industrial applications. Often used on production lines to transfer products from one station to another, they are also widely used in warehousing.
These conveyors work with both regular, flat-sided products and irregularly-shaped goods.
As are all roller conveyors, gravity models are constructed of metal tubes with bearings in each end and mounted on an axle riding in a channel frame. These versatile systems firmly support the transported item and are available in light-, medium- and heavy-duty versions. They are capable of handling irregularly-shaped products.
The application, flow speed and need for operator input will dictate the choice of gravity roller conveyor.
