ApplicationsThese machines are employed primarily in the steel and cement industries. However, they are found in every domain requiring air filtration to meet emissions standards.
TechnologiesDusty air flows over the outside of the filter bag, which allows it to pass through while trapping the dust particles. The dust falls into a hopper as the speed of the flow drops. The filtered air exits the top of the bag. Such devices are differentiated by filter cleaning system. Some use vibration, though most employ jets of compressed air. Reversing the air flow is yet a third method for cleaning the bag.
How to chooseKeep in mind that certain cleaning methods require that the filter be off line. In such cases, a modular system with several filtration chambers in parallel offers a real advantage. Choice of bag material will depend on the temperature and humidity of the dusty air, the humidity within the collector, the size and abrasive and electrostatic properties of the dust particles and the bag's ability to withstand exposure to chemicals.
