Series description
Multistage submersible pump with a sectional construction with VdS approval for vertical or horizontal installation to supply a sprinkler system.

Applications

• For supplying fire water to sprinkler systems in accordance with the VdS guideline ‘VdS CEA 4001’
• Underground fire water tanks
• Fire water wells
• Fire water tanks

Liquids
For pumping fire water and process water:

• Without long-fibre and abrasive constituents
• Maximum sand content of 150 g/m³ (depending on type)

Construction
KM 750 / KM 1300 / D 500 hydraulics: Multistage submersible-motor pump with semi-axial hydraulics. Housing components and impellers made of bronze or grey cast iron with a 2K coating. Stage housing with neck rings manufactured from special bronze. Discharge port is a flange connection. Built-in non-return valve optional.

ZETOS-F hydraulics: Multistage submersible-motor pump with semi-axial hydraulics. Housing parts and impellers made from stainless steel investment castings. Discharge port has integrated non-return valve and is available as flange or threaded connection. Built-in non-return valve can be excluded as an option.

Motor
Three-phase motor with rewindable PE2 winding for star-delta starts. Motor shroud made of stainless steel or steel/bronze. Shaft sealed using a mechanical seal made of solid silicon carbide. Axial thrusts absorbed by thrust bearing with rockers and counter-thrust bearing. Bearings self-lubricating. Motors filled with a mixture of water and antifreeze as standard; alternatively can be filled with drinking water. U 156 … motor filled with drinking water as standard.

Motor cooling
The motor is cooled by the pumped fluid; waste heat transferred to the circulating fluid via the motor shroud. Motor is always operated in submerged state. Anti-vortex plate recommended to optimise inlet flow. A cooling shroud can be fitted to increase flow velocity at the motor.

Delivery scope

• Hydraulics + motor completely assembled
• Connection cables in accordance with VDE/KTW; cable cross-section and length as specified by the customer
• Installation and operating instructions

Options

• Pressure shroud assembly for dry installation (used to install the unit into the pipeline system). By default, a non-return valve is not fitted in the pressure shroud. Maximum inlet pressure 10 bar (5 bar for D 500).

• Bearing brackets for horizontal installation
• Anti-vortex plate for optimising the inlet flow
• Cooling shroud to increase the flow velocity at the motor
• Non-return valve (certified, depending on type)
