The Alfa Laval Aalborg EX is an exhaust gas economizer for heating thermal fluid through waste heat recovery. It is delivered as part of a complete thermal fluid heating system with all necessary components, which include heaters, circulation pumps, valves, an expansion tank, a dump cooler and a control system. Mineral oils are the most common heat transfer medium, although water is also possible. The Aalborg EX has a capacity of 100–5000 kW and a design temperature of 280 degrees celsius.
