Quick Afla M1 Strip Test provides a rapid qualitative/semiquantitative determination of Aflatoxin M1 in milk in 10 minutes. Quantitative results are obtained when the kit is used with the RDS-2500 Strip Reader. The assay is performed in two simple steps: add the milk sample to a reaction well containing a lyophilized reagent, mix and incubate at room temperature for 5 minutes, then insert the test strip into the reaction well and incubate for 5 more minutes. No incubator is required. All necessary consumables (including a reusable 200 μL micropipette and disposable tips) are supplied with the kit. Store at 2–8C for 12 months from production date.

Visual interpretation
At the end of the second incubation, observe the test strip lines:

T-Line more intense than C-Line: Aflatoxin M1 concentration lower than 50 ppt

T-Line as intense as C-Line: Aflatoxin M1 concentration approx. 50 ppt

T-Line less intense than C-Line: Aflatoxin M1 concentration higher than 50 ppt

T-Line absent, only C-Line visible: strongly positive (≈300–400 ppt or higher)

Use with RDS-2500 reader (quantitative)
When combined with the handheld RDS-2500 strip reader the kit provides quantitative Aflatoxin M1 results in milk within approx. 10–350 ppt in 10 minutes. After running the test, place the strip into the cartridge adapter and insert it into the reader. The reader displays the result in ppt and an enlarged image of the colored lines, provides objective and repeatable quantitative interpretation, stores a large number of results in internal memory and allows download to PC via the supplied Data Manager software; software updates and data transfer are possible via WiFi. The reader is handheld, battery rechargeable and supplied with a battery charger.
