Product overview
The Neutralizers Test by Astori Tecnica provides an immediate colorimetric screening for added neutralizing agents (e.g. NaOH, KOH, carbonates, bicarbonates, ammonia and other alkalis) in milk, whey and cream. It is designed for on-site quality control to reveal prohibited additions used to mask spoilage or incorrect acidity.
Procedure
Pour the sample into the supplied sample tube up to the upper mark.Add 2–3 drops of the ready-to-use reagent into the sample tube.Observe the prompt color change to determine presence or absence of neutralizers.
Easy interpretation of the results
After adding the reagent, samples containing neutralizing agents turn red to pink. Samples without added neutralizers show orange to brownish hues, allowing quick visual decision-making on-site.
