Safety and warnings

• The cord dimmer may only be operated indoors in dry and closed rooms.
• The cord dimmer must not be operated covered. There is a risk of heat build-up; this may cause damage or fire.
• Avoid operation under unfavorable environmental conditions (e.g. relative humidity above 80%, moisture, ambient temperatures above 50°C, solvents, flammable gases, dust, vapours).
• Never pour liquids over the cord dimmer; there is a risk of fire or fatal electric shock. In such a case disconnect the mains plug and take appropriate measures.
• If there is visible damage caused by transport or improper handling, the device must not be put into operation or must be taken out of service. The same applies to interventions in the device; opening the device voids the warranty.
• When opening the device live parts may be exposed; the device may only be opened by a qualified electrician after ensuring it is disconnected from the mains.
