Safety and warnings

• The cord dimmer must only be operated indoors in dry and closed spaces.
• Do not operate the cord dimmer covered. There is a risk of heat accumulation which may cause damage or fire.
• Avoid operation under adverse environmental conditions such as relative humidity above 80%, moisture, ambient temperatures above 50°C, solvents, flammable gases, dust or vapours.
• Never pour liquids onto the cord dimmer. This can cause fire or a life-threatening electric shock. If this occurs, disconnect the mains plug immediately.
• Failure to follow the instructions may result in damage, fire or other hazards. If the cord dimmer shows visible damage from transport or improper handling, it must not be used or must be taken out of service immediately. The same applies to tampering with the device. Opening the device or other interventions void the warranty.
• If the cord dimmer no longer functions, it must be taken out of service immediately.
• Opening the device can expose live parts (risk of electric shock). For this reason the device may only be opened by a qualified electrician after it has been disconnected from the mains.
