OverviewThe MHXS grain scourer removes earth, dust and sand from grain surfaces to improve hygiene during processing. It is installed in intake and cleaning sections and is suitable for wheat, durum, oats (with specific versions) and rye.
Key benefits- Multi-grain processing: suitable for common wheat, durum wheat, rye and, with rotor and sieve-jacket versions, oats.
- Surface scouring: removes dust, sand and soil adhered to kernels; discharge aspiration options (MVSG or MVSQ) collect detached hull particles and surface contaminants.
- Food-safety impact: lowers bacterial and fungal load and removes insects and fragments, improving product hygiene and downstream storage conditions.
Features- Compact design for integration into existing plants.
- Throughput: approximately 15–30 metric tons per hour for wheat, depending on size and product.
- Two available sizes and rotor/sieve-jacket configurations for oats.
- Optional discharge aspiration units: MVSG channel or MVSQ air-recycling aspirator.
Applications- Wheat
- Durum wheat
- Oats (rotor and sieve-jacket versions)
- Rye
Position in process chainThe MHXS is typically used in intake/pre-cleaning and first or second cleaning stages, ahead of dehulling, kilning, cutting and grading, and bagging/load out. Removing surface impurities helps protect downstream equipment and supports hygienic storage.
