The sigma blade mixer is a double helix mixer whose working principle is based on the mutual movement of the mixing blades and the temperature control of the jacket system.
Main Structure:
• Mixing Chamber
• Agitator
• Motor
• Jacket
• Feed and Discharge Ports
• Control System
• Base
Feeding
Raw materials and ingredients are added to the mixing chamber of the sigma blade mixer, usually through the feeding port.
Kneading and Mixing
The double-helix blades of the sigma blade mixer rotate with each other. This movement causes the material to be continuously folded, stretched and compressed, which contributes to the uniform mixing and kneading of the mixture.
Jacket Temperature Control
If the mixture requires temperature conditions, the sigma blade mixer jacket comes into play. A jacket usually surrounds the mixing chamber and can control the temperature of the mixture through external heating or cooling.
End of Minxing and Discharge
Once mixing reaches the desired level, the mixture can be discharged through the discharge port.
