Our equipment meets requirements for producing food-grade CMC regarding material purity, reaction uniformity, and solvent recovery. Key equipment includes food-grade Sigma mixers and vacuum drying systems. We recently supported a client in Uzbekistan to establish a food-grade CMC production line.

Food-grade CMC Cellulose Production Process
  • Alkaliization stage: Cellulose and liquid alkali are thoroughly mixed in a specialized Sigma mixer to form alkali cellulose.
  • Etherification stage: Monochloroacetic acid is added and a controlled substitution reaction is performed under precise temperature control.
  • Washing and Neutralization: Multiple washes with an alcohol solution remove sodium chloride byproduct, achieving product purity >99.5%.
  • Drying and Pulverizing: Material is dried (vacuum/low temperature) and pulverized to target mesh size.
