Product overviewThe sigma blade mixer is a double-helix (sigma) kneader designed for intensive kneading and homogenization of high-viscosity and pasty materials. The unit incorporates a jacketed mixing chamber for external heating or cooling and is suited to batch processing in industrial lines.
Main structure- Jacketed mixing chamber
- Sigma double-helix blades
- Drive unit (motor and gearbox)
- Heating/cooling jacket and ports
- Feed and discharge openings
- Control system
- Support frame / base
Mixing principleFeeding Raw materials are loaded into the chamber through the feed port, either manually or by automated dosing equipment.
Kneading and mixing Counter-rotating sigma blades fold, stretch and compress the product, producing strong shear and internal circulation to obtain uniform homogenization.
Jacket temperature control The jacket permits circulation of heat-transfer media (thermal oil, steam, water) or electric heating to maintain process temperature as required.
End of mixing and discharge When the target consistency is reached, the mixture is discharged via the outlet; discharge options include bottom valve, tilting or vacuum-assisted removal.
Applications- Food and dough processing
- Rubber compounding and vulcanization preparations
- Plastics compounding and pastes
- Construction materials and adhesives
