Description

Overview
The sigma blade mixer is a double-helix (Σ) kneader designed for mixing, kneading and homogenizing high-viscosity, cohesive and elastic‑plastic materials. The mixer combines reciprocal blade motion with a jacket system for external heating or cooling to maintain process temperature.

Mixing principle
  • Feeding – Raw materials and additives are introduced through the feed port into the mixing chamber.
  • Kneading and mixing – The Σ blades rotate relative to each other, folding, stretching and compressing the material to achieve uniform dispersion and homogeneity.
  • Jacket temperature control – The chamber jacket enables external heating or cooling (oil, steam, electric jacket, water) to control process temperature.
  • End of mixing and discharge – When the target consistency is reached, the product is removed via the selected discharge method (bottom discharge, hydraulic dumping, screw extrusion).
