The sigma kneader is a heavy-duty, high-efficiency mixing device designed for uniform mixing and vigorous kneading of high-viscosity materials and plays a crucial role in mixing, kneading and grinding operations.

Construction and MaterialsThe main body consists of a welded double U-shaped mixing tank with two Z-shaped (∑-shaped) agitators rotating in opposite directions to generate strong shearing and kneading forces. To achieve optimal mixing results, the gap between agitators and tank walls is kept minimal. The mixing tank and paddles can be fabricated from low carbon steel, SS304 or SS316 to meet different material and process requirements.
Working PrincipleThe two ∑-shaped agitators installed in a double U-shaped mixing cylinder rotate in opposite directions. High-viscosity materials are subjected to shearing, squeezing, tumbling and friction to achieve uniform mixing, kneading and dispersion. The small clearance between agitators and cylinder walls ensures thorough processing during circulation, making the machine suitable for high-viscosity systems such as hot melt adhesives, silicone rubber, sealants and inks.
