SILICONE CORD REFERENCE: SCORD DESCRIPTION: Silicone Cord 315Cº MATERIAL: High temperature Silicone 315ºC See the material data sheet DIMENSIONAL TOLERANCE The dimensional tolerance of the Silicone Cord is according the RMA A3 APLICATIONS: Powder Coating, Wet Coating, E-Coating, Plating, Anodizing. USES: Silicone cord is used to mask grooves. The cord is served in rolls and must be cut according to the length required for application. It is mainly used to mask the grooves during the surface treatments. RECOMMENDATIONS of USE: To choose the appropriate size is necessary taking into consideration the Cord Diameter “D”. The Silicone cord is not so many flexible, so when deciding the appropriate cord size take a “D” diameter not more 0.1mm to 0.3 mm bigger and fit it by pressing the cord against the inside groove. Once fitted, the cord has to be well fitted and held all along the inside groove. If the cord has to be cut into a smaller length, then it is recommended to use a special tube cutter to do it accurately, quickly and safety. STORAGE RECOMMENDATIONS: Storing this product away from direct sunlight and at a temperature between 20º C and 25º C is recommended in order to prevent any modifications to the properties such as flexibility, elasticity or decolouring, among others. The material this product is made of possesses no health risk nor is it considered hazardous requiring consideration when handling or storing it.
