The AC/DC digital kilovolt meter consists of two main parts: a high-voltage divider and a digital kilovolt meter. The high-voltage divider is a passive resistive-capacitive type, constructed with precision low-temperature drift resistors and high-quality capacitors. The digital kilovolt meter includes a true RMS value circuit, a peak value measuring circuit, and a digital voltmeter. The high-voltage divider is connected to the digital kilovolt meter by a coaxial measuring cable. The high voltage is reduced to a sample value by the voltage divider and is then fed to the digital voltmeter. Using the function selector, the voltmeter can display DC voltage, AC effective (RMS) voltage, AC peak value, and AC peak-to-peak value, offering high measurement accuracy and ease of use.
Preparation Before Test (Measurement)
1.High Voltage Divider Placement: The high-voltage divider should be positioned properly. Ensure that there is adequate clearance from surrounding objects. The minimum clearance should not be less than the height of the voltage divider.
2.Grounding Connection: The ground terminals of both the voltage divider base and the digital voltmeter should be reliably connected to ground using braided copper wire.
3.Measuring Signal Connection: The supplied coaxial measuring cable is specifically prepared for connecting the voltage signal output socket of the divider base to the signal input socket of the digital voltmeter. It should not be replaced with any other coaxial cable or connecting wire, as the cable is designed for proper capacitive matching with the voltage divider.
