Overview
BSTFLEX silica cloth covered ceramic core tadpole gasket is a flexible high temperature sealing solution designed for furnace doors, industrial ovens, kilns, heat treatment equipment and other thermal processing systems. Its bulb-and-tail profile combines a compressible sealing bulb with an extended mounting tail, allowing the gasket to provide a continuous seal around doors, access panels and equipment openings.

Construction
The sealing bulb is formed around a ceramic core and enclosed with high temperature silica cloth. The ceramic core provides heat-resistant structural support within the bulb, while the silica cloth cover forms the external thermal barrier. The extended tail provides a practical mounting section for mechanical attachment to doors, frames and access panels.

How it works
A tadpole gasket seals a joint through compression of its rounded bulb. The mounting tail is positioned against the equipment frame and secured with a suitable mechanical fastening method. When the door or panel closes, the bulb is compressed against the mating surface, filling the gap to create a continuous thermal sealing barrier. The ceramic core supports the bulb, while the silica cloth cover protects the gasket from direct exposure to heat.
