Product details
The OPTEX OAM-DUAL T series sets the standard for sliding door applications. Combining active infrared presence detection with microwave motion detection, the sensor secures the opening, through the threshold, and enables convenient activation. The microwave activation unit of the OAM-DUAL TE model is safety-tested for escape-route use.

Safety and BLUEZONE (lookback)
Active infrared presence detection offers two safety rows in front of the threshold that can be accurately adjusted and shifted by ±6°. An additional presence row (BLUEZONE) looks toward the threshold and is automatically disabled when the area is cleared and doors begin to close. Installation of separate safety beams is no longer mandatory.

Motion detection
The large microwave motion area gives fast detection for traffic approaching from any angle. Presence (AIR) and motion (microwave) areas are adjustable independently. A dipswitch configures the AIR zone for safety only or for safety plus activation. Enhanced cross-traffic cancellation and a uni-directional function prevent unnecessary openings and enable faster closing when traffic moves away, contributing to energy savings.

Compliance
OPTEX OAM-DUAL T and DUAL TE models are safety-tested and approved by TÜV, complying with DIN 18650:2010, EN 16005 and AutSchR.

Escape routes
For escape-route applications the DUAL TE models provide a monitored activation output with universal installation settings and can be connected to door controllers supporting frequency and/or voltage outputs.

Easy installation
Installation time is reduced by easy-to-set dipswitches and shutters. Presence area adjustment is simplified using the OPTEX Infrared finder.
