Technology summary
The OPTEX OA-6500S uses active-infrared reflection technology to combine reliable activation and safety in a single sensor. OPTEX presence detection enables a large coverage area around industrial thresholds and sustained detection performance at elevated mounting heights.

Features
The OA-6500S is configured for industrial doors: the 1st row includes a door-cancellation function to reduce false triggers from door movement. Activation and safety outputs are selectable N.C. / N.O. via DIP switches. Automatic infinite presence detection enhances safety and prevents unintended opening due to sudden floor condition changes.

Motion detection
The wide detection pattern provides rapid detection of traffic including large vehicles approaching from various angles. Improved pattern depth detects objects at greater distances, allowing timely door operation. Presence and motion detection zones can be adjusted independently for flexible field configuration.

Easy adjustment
Accessible switches and trimmers minimize installation time and simplify setup for multiple applications. Use of an OPTEX infrared finder is recommended to fine-tune the presence detection area.
