Combination
The OA-AXIS series is the world-first door sensor based solely on active infrared technique that integrates activation and threshold safety in a single unit. OPTEX presence detection provides precise threshold protection while offering a wide motion detection area for reliable door activation. Presence and motion zones are adjustable independently.

Safety
Active infrared presence detection can be fine-tuned and tilted ±6° for the 1st to 3rd rows, preventing the mandatory need for separate safety beams in many installations. The sensor detects persons or objects in or near the threshold and holds the door open while presence persists. Safety level: Category 2 / Performance level d (EN ISO 13849-1:2015).

Motion detection
Large detection area with enhanced pattern depth enables fast recognition of approaching traffic, including trolleys and carts, from various angles. Motion detection range supports prompt and convenient door opening; motion and presence areas adjustable separately.

Outputs & Variants
OA-AXIS T provides a motion/activation relay (Form A) plus an opto-coupler (NPN) safety input/output. The OA-AXIS family offers multiple output configurations to meet local market requirements.

Installation & Adjustment
Quick setup using switches and shutters reduces installation time. Depth-angle adjustment and the use of the OPTEX Infrared Finder for fine-tuning presence zones simplify commissioning. Recommended mounting height: 2.0–3.0 m.
