OverviewThe Pertronic F220-Net2 network links multiple F220 fire panels, Net2 Network Control Units (Net2 NCU) and Net2 remote displays into a single fault-tolerant fire alarm network. It prioritises alarm and control traffic to ensure rapid delivery under high network load.
On a Pertronic F220-Net2 Network- Any connected fire panel can be controlled and monitored from any Net2 NCU
- Information from any panel can be viewed on any Net2 NCU or Net2 remote display
- Events anywhere on the network can trigger or influence events on any connected fire panel
Network compositionAn F220-Net2 network supports up to 133 Net2 Network Cards (nodes). Each node may interface one of the following to the network:
- One F220 fire panel (FP) and/or multiple Net2 NCUs or Net2 remote displays
- Modbus master device
- Pertronic FireMap® workstation
- ASCII text-based systems including printer or pager
A single network card may connect up to eight Net2 NCUs or Net2 remote displays and up to eight LED display/output controllers. Each NCU can provide full control and monitoring of any or all networked panels.
Features- Up to 100,000 panel-to-panel object mappings per system
- Up to 5,000 object mappings to any individual fire panel
- 640 configurable network inputs per panel (multiple objects may be mapped per input)
- 359 logical inputs per panel
- Zone numbers supported from 0 to 64,999
- Plain-text descriptors for network inputs, NMOs, NCUs and remote displays (mini-mimics)
- Plug-in fibre-optic modules allow a mix of RS-485 twisted-pair copper and fibre-optic segments
- Bi-directional Modbus interface providing:
- 3,000 Boolean Nodal Mapping Objects (NMOs)
- Ability to map up to 8 timers from any panels to Modbus registers
- Mappable I/O watchdog
- Ring topology ensures a single cable fault does not interrupt network operation
- Automatic fault supervision detects earth faults on copper segments, circuit breaks and node/configuration changes
- Programmable via Pertronic FireUtils® over a password-protected Ethernet connection
- Typical upload times: 34 nodes < 1 minute; 130 nodes < 5 minutes
- Automatic system-wide clock synchronisation and daylight saving adjustment
- System time adjustable from any fire panel
- Loop devices testable from any Net2 NCU
- Users can reset or disable individual loop devices, alarm routing, timers, logic blocks and network inputs from any Net2 NCU
- Recent Network Event log and panel data logs (including history) accessible from NCUs, panels and full-function mimics
- Panel data logs downloadable to FireUtils® from any node
- NET2CARD Linux OS diagnostic logs available for Pertronic technical support analysis
- 133-node F220-Net2 network certified to AS 7240.13:2006 by an IANZ-accredited laboratory
- Activfire listed (afp-3054) to AS 7240.13:2006
