Product DescriptionThe GI80 is a passive piezoelectric acoustic emission (AE) sensor with an integral 40 dB, 28 V preamplifier. It provides a low-frequency bandwidth of 20 kHz–180 kHz for detection of low-frequency AE signals from large structures. The sensor features a stainless steel (SUS-304) case, a ceramic sensing face and a side SMA connector. Compact dimensions and low weight simplify installation on structures.
ApplicationsSuitable for structural health monitoring of large objects such as concrete elements, steel structures and geological formations. Also used for leakage and corrosion monitoring of storage tanks and valves, pipeline inspection and partial discharge detection in electrical equipment.
