Description
The GH150 (Magnetic) is an ultra‑high temperature acoustic emission (AE) sensor designed for structural monitoring and non‑destructive testing on hot metallic surfaces up to 600 °C. It features a 260 kHz resonant frequency, stainless Invar contact surfaces, IP68 protection, a 20 cm heat‑resistant metal tube protecting the cable entry, and a 3 m integral BNC cable. Multiple hold‑down options are available including self‑magnetic base, cable tie, custom clamp and free‑mounted rod.

When to Use GH150 (Magnetic)
Use the GH150 (Magnetic) when AE monitoring or NDT must be performed on very hot metallic surfaces where standard AE sensors cannot operate. Typical cases include:

Installation Notes
Correct installation is critical for reliable AE detection at ultra‑high temperatures. Recommended practices:
  • Confirm actual surface temperature before installing the sensor
  • Clean and prepare the mounting surface for stable acoustic coupling
  • Select magnetic mounting, cable tie, custom clamp or free‑mounted rod based on temperature, vibration and surface condition
  • Prefer mechanically stable clamps for long‑term high‑temperature monitoring
  • Route the cable away from direct heat, sharp edges and moving parts
  • Avoid cable tension or sharp bends close to the sensor
  • Verify channel response before formal testing or extended monitoring
