Description

Overview
Our RESI-1RS485-ETH and RESI-1RS232-ETH gateways allow integration of MODBUS/RTU slave devices or devices using an ASCII or binary protocol into an Ethernet network. The gateway exchanges data bidirectional between Ethernet and the serial line (RS232 or RS485). A special mode for internal conversion between MODBUS/TCP and MODBUS/RTU protocol can be enabled in the gateway, allowing controllers with MODBUS/TCP protocol to communicate directly with MODBUS/RTU devices.

Converters (SIO)
The RESI-1RS485-SIO and RESI-1RS232-SIO modules are used to convert between different protocols. Both modules provide on one side RS232 and RS485 interfaces. The RESI-1RS232-SIO offers a galvanic insulated RS232 interface and the RESI-1RS485-SIO offers a galvanic insulated RS485 interface.

Configuration
The gateways provide a web page to define Ethernet parameters. Serial parameters are set via MODBUS registers using a special setup method; consult the product manual for full configuration details.
