OverviewThe FRIKMAR Viscosity Flow Cups are designed to measure the viscosity of paints, inks, varnishes and similar liquid coatings by timing flow through a defined orifice. Results are reported as flow time (seconds) and can be converted to kinematic viscosity (cSt) using standard conversion charts or a viscosity calculator.
How viscosity is describedViscosity reflects a fluid's resistance to flow (internal shear between layers). Measuring flow through an orifice provides a repeatable relative classification of kinematic viscosity for process control and quality assurance of liquid coatings.
