The customer experienced clogging of the tube bundles on two economizers (eco 1.1 + eco 1.2), reducing the flue gas flow to be treated. Manual sweeping previously used was not efficient enough and incurred high maintenance costs.

SOLUTION
Four AIRCHOC® AC520HFP air cannons were installed on the first tube row of economizer 1. The system is fed by a 200 L tank to deliver large-volume pulses of compressed air capable of sweeping the entire tube bank. The customer configured firing at one air cannon every 15 minutes.

RESULT
The flue gas treatment circuit was cleared and the boiler can operate at normal output. Switching to this cleaning solution reduced maintenance needs and costs.
