PROBLEM:
- This cylindrical unit is equipped with a rectangular multiple screw discharger. In the transition section from round to rectangle above the discharger, bran build-ups occur regularly leading to full blockage of the extraction and reduced production output.
- Bridging occurs from the beginning of the cone to the discharge, preventing reliable material flow.
SOLUTION:
- Installation of 4 × AIRCHOC® air cannons AC515SJP positioned on the bran silo according to predetermined locations and firing sequence.
RESULT:
- STANDARD INDUSTRIE ensured that no blockages or bridging problems occur as long as the AIRCHOC® units are used at the specified locations and with the defined firing sequence.
- The AIRCHOC® units have been in operation since February 2021 and deliver consistent results in preventing accumulations.
- The customer subsequently ordered an additional 12 AIRCHOC® units for a 4-compartment soya silo after observing improved extraction reliability.
