Description

Product Overview
A ferrite coil antenna with a high-permeability ferrite core and precision enameled copper winding. Designed for compact industrial installations, it provides high magnetic sensitivity and simplified integration compared with wire antennas. Customizable for inductance, frequency range, winding type and mounting methods; suitable for AM receivers, RFID readers, IoT sensors, navigation modules and industrial monitoring devices.

How It Works
The antenna concentrates RF magnetic flux in the ferrite core; changing flux induces voltage in the copper winding. The ferrite core increases effective permeability, improving sensitivity for LF–MF signals versus an air-core coil of similar size. The coil and core form an inductive circuit that can be tuned with capacitors to resonate at target frequencies. The directional magnetic response helps reduce interference and supports positioning in constrained assemblies.

Main Features
  • High magnetic sensitivity and optimized Q for the target frequency range
  • Compact footprint (typical footprint length 25 mm) and low weight
  • Low power consumption and stable electrical behavior
  • Customizable winding design, ferrite material, inductance and mounting
  • Optional encapsulation: varnish, epoxy or coating for environmental protection
  • Suitable for LF–MF operating frequencies (kHz–MHz)

Applications
  • AM radio receivers and portable receivers
  • RFID readers, access control and identification systems
  • IoT devices: smart meters, environmental sensors and low-power wireless sensors
  • Automotive electronics: keyless entry, TPMS, navigation modules
  • Industrial automation: wireless sensors, monitoring and machine communication
  • Compact consumer and professional electronic devices

  • Flexible OEM customization (core, winding, connector, mounting)
  • Suitable for integration in space-constrained industrial devices

Disadvantages
  • Narrower bandwidth compared with some broadband antennas
  • Performance depends on ferrite material quality and correct tuning
  • Ferrite cores are brittle and sensitive to mechanical impact
  • Sensitivity to nearby metal objects and placement

Troubleshooting & Common Issues
  • Poor reception — check orientation, core integrity, winding turns and tuning
  • Frequency mismatch — verify inductance and tuning capacitors
  • High noise — improve shielding and relocate the antenna from interference sources
  • Diminished sensitivity — inspect winding quality and ferrite selection
  • Mechanical damage — handle ferrite cores carefully during assembly and transport

Additional Notes
