SMC Series Subminiature Couplings
The SMC Subminiature Coupling is Colder Products’ smallest coupling. This twist-to-connect coupling provides a reliable and more secure alterative to luer-type connections. The SMC also allows the tubing to rotate freely when connected, which prevents both kinked tubing and accidental disconnection during use.

The Swivel Fittings are ideal for a broad range of medical, industrial, laboratory and instrumentation applications involving pneumatic systems. Swivel Fittings are available with 10-32 UNF, 1/8-27 NPT, or 1/4-18 NPT threads. Three models are available, Straight Swivel, Swivel Elbow and Swivel Tee. The unique design (Patent # 4,496,204) allows the fitting to swivel 360 degrees. The snap type fitting is sealed with a Buna-N, Viton, Silicone, or EPDM o’ring. All models are available with barbs for 1/16”, 3/32” or 1/8” I.D. flexible tubing. The absence of a molded parting line on the first barb guarantees a leak free seal.

Developed originally as part of the TODO-MATIC® coupling construction then subsequently as a stand alone product, the TODO® swivel has proved itself in the toughest applications for over 20 years.
Used mainly to allow free hose movement without imparting torque stresses to the assembly (one of the biggest causes of premature hose failure).
# Simple design, low maintenance
# Very compact
# High flow rate / low pressure drop
# Full range of sizes, materials and connections
# Stainless steel bearings and single 'O' ring seal for realibility

Technical Description
Can be used in hydraulic systems where rotating connections are essential, for example on accessories with rotating movements. Depending on design, the body is made of brass (TDG) or steel (TKR) and the rotating axis of surface-purified/stainless steel.
Maximum rotation speed: 60 r.p.m.
Advantages
Rotating joints minimise the high wear to the hose, which occurs in hydraulic systems. Solid construction with two plain bearings (TDG) or ball/roller bearings (TKR). Suitable for combining with norm hydraulic components.
Working Temperature*
-20°C up to +100°C (NBR)
depending on the medium.
FKM on request.

Adjustable Male Stud
Standpipe
Operation
The nut on sf adjustable cone sealing couplings can be turned, due to the retaining pin which holds the nut in place. This pin sits in a groove between the nut and the coupling body. Sealing is by means of the O-Ring on the 24° cone and conforms to DIN 3865.
Advantages
positionable as the nut can be turned on the stud
can be assembled onto compression studs and onto studs to DIN 3853
minimal cross-section variation
easier and quicker assembly because of minimum movement exerting little torque
highly leakproof due to O-Ring seal
highly resistant to pressure surges and vibrations in the system
high strip-off safety degree due to form-fit construction
