Welding Neck Flanges:
The welding neck flange is normally referred to as the "high hub" Flange. It is designed to transfer stresses to the pipe, thereby reducing high stress concentrations at the base of the Flange. The welding neck flange is the best designed butt-welded flange of those currently available because of its inherent structural value. It is expensive because of the design.
Threaded (Screwed) Flanges:
The threaded flange is similar to the slip-on flange, but the bore is threaded. Its chief merit is that it can be assembled without welding, explaining its use in low pressure services at ordinary atmospheric temperatures and in highly explosive areas where welding create a hazard.
Slip-On Flanges:
The slip-on flange has a low hub because the pipe slips into the flange prior to welding. It is welded both inside and out to provide sufficient strength and prevent leakage. Slip-on flanges are all bored slightly larger that the O.D. of the matching pipe. They are preferred over welding neck flanges by many users due to their lower initial cost, but final installation cost is probably not much less than that of the welding neck flange because of the additional welding involved.
Lap joint Flanges:
The lap joint flange is practically identical to a slip-on flange except it has a radius at the intersection of the bore and flange race. This radius is necessary to have the flange accommodate a lap joint stub end. Normally, a lap joint flange and a lap joint stub end are mated together in an assembly system.

ISO-QF (Quick Flange) and LF (Large Flange) flanges are part of the same family of ISO standard elastomer sealed vacuum components designed for high vacuum service. A&N ISO flanges and fittings are manufactured in accordance with ISO (International Standard Organization) 2861 standards and tolerances. These flanges are an economical, convenient, and simplified means of constructing custom vacuum systems. ISO flanges, along with CF flanges, represent the most commonly used vacuum flange systems around the globe.
Standard QF flanges have bore (tube) sizes that range from 16mm to 50mm (QF16 to QF50). In addition, A&N offers a range of QF flanges from 63 to 200mm. QF flanges are fastened with quick style clamps and are sealed with an elastomeric o-ring. LF flanges have bore (tube) sizes that range from 63mm to 500mm (LF63 to LF500). LF style flanges are fastened with claw-style clamps or with bolts. Adaptive bolt rings are available that allow the conversion from claw-style flanges to bolt-style flanges. LF flanges are also sealed with an elastomeric o-ring.

The flexible cuffs QuickFlex are used without the processes for powders or granulated. They allow d%u2019isoler mechanically equipment the ones compared to the others. Ex: to isolate a vibrating sifter compared to his screw from proportioning.
QuickFlex consist of:
- 2 rigid pipes to weld onto the 2 parts of the process having to receive the cuff. These pipes are equipped with patented sections, adapted to the QuickFlex cuff.
- 1 flexible pipe whose two ends are equipped with bands d%u2019acier with spring moulded in l%u2019élastomère of the cuff. The installation of the cuff is done in a very simple way, by deforming the band d%u2019acier with spring in order to l%u2019insérer in the rigid pipes. The original shape of the section ensures then a perfect sealing of the cuff.
The assembly is done without tool in less than 20 seconds. One thus eliminates the risks to be wounded with screwdrivers during tightening from the traditional collars. Moreover the sleeve is adapted perfectly to the pipe.
No zone of retention n%u2019exist enters the flexible cuff and the pipe.
The system is tight with the emissions of dust. It resists an explosion of dust.
From its design, the phenomena of shearing of the cuff by the collar are eliminated.
Various d%u2019élastomères qualities are available:
Let us quote in example a food translucent polyurethane execution allowing to control l%u2019interior of the process visually.
For l%u2019industrie mineral, flexible cuffs in Kevlar are available.
These cuffs are available in a diameter ranging between 100 and 650 Misters.

The Variacor® system, internationally patented, makes all rigid hosing flexible and multi-directional, whatever may be the pressure.
-Increases pliability of fire hose, less effort due to hose rigidity,
-Makes easier using fire hose in hard to access area,
-Reduces step backwards when handling fire hose.

Threaded and welding fittings have been manufactured since TECVAL started its industrial activity. Fabricated in different materials and with an excellent finish quality they can work under high pressure service.
Made in several alloys.

TODO-GAS® couplings are specifically designed for the safe transfer of LPG (typically Propane / Butane) in both liquid and vapour phases.
The materials of construction and component design are specified to recognise the unique properties of LPG and terminal handling characteristics.
Ultra low release on disconnection not only improves safety but also satisfies even the most stringent of environmental standards. Typical emission reduction is greater than 99% compared to existing thread based couplings.
Just like their TODO-MATIC® stable mates, TODO-GAS® couplings remove the human error element from LPG transfer operations by ensuring that the valves are closed before disconnection is possible. Both TODO-MATIC® and TODO-GAS® couplings offer the lowest fugitive emission volumes available in the world.

The Grinnell grooved mechanical products range offers a complete & dependable way of executing the mechanical engineering installations in a structure. This applies not only to fire protection systems, but also to heating, air conditioning & ventilation installations. They are found wherever reliable operation is the key factor, even in power stations & other demanding construction projects. Our service also includes the assistance of specialists to offer guidance on the optimum use of these products.
The Grooved Method
Grinnell couplings and grooved-end fittings are universally used for joining grooved end pipe in a wide variety of piping systems. They are designed to provide a self-centering joint which accommodates the application of pressure, vacuum & other external forces, while limiting the burdensome need for special supports, expansion joints etc.
Flexible and Rigid Couplings
Flexible couplings provide designed in clearances between the housing key sections & the pipe grooves to permit both angular and longitudinal movement of the pipe.Rigid Couplings provide a rigid, locked-in pipe connection. Rigidity is attained simply; it is built-in.The Rigid System is based on a technologically advanced housing design that conforms to and grips the pipe.Couplings are available in painted & galvanized finish.
Range of fittings
Grinnell grooved fittings are available through 600mm/24" nominal pipe size in a variety of styles. These fittings are designed to provide minimum pressure drop & uniform strength. Depending on style and size, fittings are provided in various materials including malleable iron, ductile iron, stainless steel, forged steel or segmentally welded steel.
