Superior to hydraulic or piezoelectric nozzles, Sprayvectors accelerate air-liquid interaction and produce defined spray patterns that can be widely diffused or highly directed. These unique nozzles introduce low pressure (0,14-1,4 Bar) liquids into large internal passages to eliminate clogging. Three models are available; Atomizing or Fogging styles deliver a dense, directable, high velocity spray for viscosities up to 1100 CPS, while the Humidifying model produces a very diffused, low velocity spray for viscosities up to 100 CPS. All styles feature a control knob for precise, fingertip adjustment of liquid flow rates. Water, chemicals, rust inhibitors, cleaners, solvents, preservatives, insecticides, lubricants and a wide diversity of other fluids can be dispensed.
|
|
Pneumatic atomizing nozzles are available in various designs to comply with specific spray and flow requirements:
. Self-aspiration (siphon principle)
. Supply of liquid from a vessel located at a higher level (gravity principle)
. Supply of liquid under pressure (pressure principle)
. Mixing of fluids inside or outside the nozzle
. Full cone or flat fan spray pattern
For many applications, adjustability of liquid flow and, thereby, of the droplet size, is possible with the aid of manually operated accessory components.
A pneumatically controlled piston allows to perform automatic or intermittent operations. A number of special customized designs complete the nozzle range.

CENTRIFUGAL PRESSURE NOZZLES
The most widespread pressure atomizer , where the energy for atomization is supplied exclusively by the feed liquid pressure. In this type nozzle the liquid enters the whirl chamber through a slot in the side of the chamber itself, follows a tangential path around the inner chamber profile, and is then fed to the outlet orifice at high speed. Nozzle orifice, whirl chamber and nozzle top plate are made out of tungsten carbide or other wear resistant materials, to avoid rapid wear and consequent performance degradation. Bodies are manufactured from high quality Aisi 316 stainless steel.
These nozzles are well suited for atomizing high viscosity liquids with viscosities values up to several hundred centipoises. They are successfully used in countercurrent spraydryers, and in systems using multiple nozzle lances. Capacities range up to several thousands of kgph for a single nozzle.

Spraying systems Co. continues a tradition of innovation with the latest feature for our 1/4JAU Automatic Air Atomizing Nozzle. No longer is it necessary to adjust the liquid flow rate utilizing seperate valves or the shut-off screw on the nozzle itself. Now, in a few simple clicks of our new exclusive indexing liquid metering adjustment, you gain precise and stable adjustments to the flow rate that can be easily repeated. With counter-clockwise turns of the metering knob, you have the flexibility to control the percentage of total flow in 5% increments from zero to 100%. This feature is particularly useful in manifold situations, where you can make differing adjustments on individual nozzles for improved overall performance. The 1/4JAUMCO is well suited for high-visous liquid applications, such as tablet coating, lubrication and applying coatings and ingredients to food procuts.

ITW Vortec's Curtain Transvectors are air amplifiers, which use a small amount of compressed air to produce a strong, high velocity, laminar sheet of air. Ionizing versions of the air knives effectively neutralize static while providing a powerful blowoff to remove accumulated dust, scrap, particles and contaminants on surfaces and finished products. The airflow delivers positive and negative ions to the surface to kill static cling to improve cleaning. Available for a broad range of manufacturing operations, the Curtain Transvectors efficiently handle high-speed drying applications and clean wide areas such as wood panels, laminates, sheets, films and other large objects or flat surfaces. The patented design significantly outperforms similar products in reduced noise levels and providing excellent uniformity of airflow. Compact and easy to install, Curtain Transvectors have no moving parts, provide instant on/off, and are offered in various lengths. Stainless steel models are available, ideal for applications where purity, high temperature or corrosive environments are concerned.

Paxton has designed and manufactured custom dryer blower systems for industry since the 1950's. Many of today's standard industry practices for "precision drying" and air knife design were pioneered here at Paxton.
Following are some of the key factors we consider in the design of your Air Knife system:
- The Air Knife system's objective(s).
- Direction of material flow and posture of the material: Horizontal / Vertical / Inclined
- Product temperature.
- Speed of the line.
- Arrangement of product or material on conveyor, i.e., single file, rows, etc.
- Dimensions of product(s) involved.
- Description of surfaces, including cavities and difficult areas.
- Conveyor dimensions .
- Temperature limitations, and heat sensitivity of materials.
- Drying requirement, and whether product is to be treated (dry, stripped, cleaned).
- Types of fluids involved (wash, rinse, treatments, coatings, acids, plating or printing).

Air Knife Systems utilize compressed air for industrial applications that include drying, removing excess oils and liquids, dust blow off, and cooling.
An air knife is effective and efficient. The laminar (uniform) sheet of air is projected along the entire length of the air knife to provide an air flow that covers the entire surface of the product. Air Knife Systems from EXAIR have small profiles, are manufactured in various lengths and can be mounted to accommodate many industrial applications involving conveyors and webs, even in tight spaces. Whether your goal is to remove dust and contaminants, cool hot parts or blow off excess oil, water and liquids, the air knife is also energy efficient. By entraining high volumes of room air they use less compressed air and less energy than other blow off products.

Nex Flow™ air blade™ air knives are superior to competitive units for the following reasons:
- All our air knives are full flow which means they can be put end to end for continuous flow and takes up less space in tight areas. Even one competitor's so-called full-flow standard answer to our Nex Flow™ standard air blade air knife is not nearly as efficient as ours by their own published values and is only a small, flimsy version in comparison.
- All our air knives come with a stainless steel shim to maintain the gap for the compressed air to exit. Many companies use plastic shims which may be "squeezed" for uneven flow but more important, no matter how clean you make the compressed air line, the plastic will wear. Plastic shims is one of the biggest complaints customers have with air knives - Nex Flow™ however uses stainless steel shims as a standard in all air knives.
- Easy mounting. Some air knife designs are difficult to mount requiring them to be taken apart, often effecting flow and making the job of mounting more difficult. All Nex Flow™ air knives have convenient mounting holes.
- All Nex Flow™ aluminum air knives are anodized while many competitors do virtually nothing to the aluminum for protection. In fact, if you want any better protection they try to get you to by more costly stainless steel when simple anodizing is less costy and already "standard" with Nex Flow™.
- Flexibility in connections. Except for the very short lengths, both standard and X-stream™ versions have compressed air ports at the ends and the back for flexible choice in air input.
