Description

Overview
EXAIR's 1 inch High Power Flat Super Air Nozzle™ produces a flat 1 inch (25 mm) wide airstream with a blowing force of 1 pound. The nozzle's patented design maximizes entrained airflow while reducing noise. Force and flow can be adjusted by fitting different shims. Available in Zinc‑Aluminum alloy or Type 316 Stainless Steel.

Applications
  • Part cleaning
  • Chip removal
  • Liquid blowoff
  • Part cooling
  • Material conveying
  • Part ejection
  • Fiber conveying
  • Air assist

Advantages
  • Forceful, laminar airstream
  • Patented shim design to vary airflow
  • Extremely quiet operation
  • Low compressed‑air consumption
  • Meets OSHA noise and pressure requirements
  • Available in Zinc‑Aluminum alloy or Type 316 Stainless Steel

Materials
  • Zinc‑Aluminum alloy – general purpose; max temp 250°F (121°C).
  • Type 316 Stainless Steel – for high temperatures, corrosive environments and mechanical wear; max temp 1000°F (538°C).

Accessories
  • Shim Sets – Model HP1136SS shim set includes 0.020" (0.51 mm) and 0.030" (0.76 mm) shims; 0.025" (0.64 mm) shim is installed by default.
  • Stay Set Hose – flexible, repositionable hoses that hold aim for frequent adjustments.
  • Swivel Fittings – allow ±25° adjustment from center axis; available in Type 303 or 316 Stainless Steel.
  • Magnetic Bases – secure mounting (horizontal or vertical) with integrated shutoff valve to vary force and flow.

How the Flat Super Air Nozzle Works
Compressed air enters the nozzle plenum and is directed through a precise slotted orifice. The primary airflow follows a flat surface creating a uniform sheet of air across the nozzle length. Ambient air is entrained into the primary airstream at approximately a 40:1 ratio, producing a defined laminar sheet with high force and minimal wind shear.
