Description

Description
Safety Air Nozzles eject compressed air 360° around an outer ring that combines with air from a center hole to produce a high-volume, high-velocity blast. The slotted end vents air to prevent outlet blockage and meet OSHA dead-end pressure requirements. Designed for retrofit to common pipe sizes. Available in Brass and Type 303 Stainless Steel.

Applications
  • Part cleaning
  • Chip removal
  • Liquid blowoff
  • Part cooling
  • Material conveying
  • Part ejection
  • Fiber conveying
  • Air assist

Advantages
  • Reduced compressed air cost
  • Approximately 10 dBA average noise reduction
  • High-velocity airstream
  • Compact design
  • Installs with a socket wrench
  • Meets OSHA noise level requirements
  • Meets OSHA dead-end pressure safety requirements
  • Models available in Brass and Stainless Steel

Materials
Type 303 Stainless Steel — common grade offering good strength; suited to mildly corrosive environments. Withstands temperatures up to 800°F (427°C).
Brass — for general-purpose applications. Maximum temperature 400°F (204°C).

Accessories
  • Swivel fittings — permit ±25° from center axis to adjust aim; available in Type 303 or 316 Stainless Steel.
  • Magnetic bases — allow horizontal or vertical mounting for frequent movement; include a shutoff valve to vary force and flow.

How it works
Air nozzles use the Coanda effect to entrain surrounding air and amplify compressed airflow (up to 25× or more). Compressed air is ejected through outer perimeter nozzles, drawing in ambient air to produce a high-volume, high-velocity blast while minimizing consumption. The slotted design vents air to remain below OSHA dead-end pressure if the nozzle face becomes blocked.
