Description

Overview
EXAIR's 1" Flat Super Air Nozzle™ delivers a wide, high-velocity sheet of laminar airflow through a thin slotted orifice, providing strong targeted blowoff with low air consumption and reduced noise. The patented shim system (U.S. Pat 5402938) keeps internal parts precisely positioned; changing shims adjusts force and flow. The kit includes the Flat Super Air Nozzle and EXAIR's flexible Stay Set Hose for frequent repositioning without creeping.

How it works
Compressed air enters a plenum and is forced through a precision slotted orifice. The primary airstream follows a flat surface to form a uniform air sheet across the nozzle length. Ambient air is entrained at approximately a 40:1 ratio, amplifying flow while maintaining a coherent, laminar jet with minimal shear.

Accessories
  • Shim Sets — .005" (0.13 mm), .010" (0.25 mm) and .020" (0.51 mm) shims; different shims modify force and flow.
  • Stay Set Hose — flexible repositionable hose with "memory"; holds position without creeping or bending.
  • Swivel Fittings — allow aim adjustment (±25°); available in Type 303 or 316 stainless steel.
  • Magnetic Bases — secure the Stay Set Hose for frequent movement; often include a shutoff valve to vary force/flow.
