OverviewEXAIR's 2" Flat Super Air Nozzle™ is the 2" wide version of the highly efficient 1" Flat Super Air Nozzle™. The patented (U.S. Pat 5402938) design uses a special shim to maintain the critical position of the component parts, producing a wide, forceful stream of high velocity, laminar airflow with minimal air consumption and noise. Force and flow may be increased or decreased by installing a different shim. The product configuration on this page includes EXAIR's Flexible Stay Set Hose for frequent repositioning and a One or Two Outlet Magnetic Base for firm attachment to metallic machinery. The 2" Flat Super Air Nozzle is available in zinc/aluminum alloy or Type 316 stainless steel.

Performance (measured at 80 PSIG / 5.5 BAR with .015" (0.38 mm) shim installed)Model | SCFM | SLPM | Force (oz) | Force (g) | Sound Level (dBA)
1122 / 1122SS | 21.8 | 622 | 22 oz | 624 g | 77 dBA
Notes: Force measured at 12" (305 mm) from target. Sound level measured at 3' (914 mm).
How it WorksCompressed air flows through the inlet into the plenum chamber and is directed to a precise slotted orifice. As the primary airflow exits the thin slotted nozzle it follows a flat surface that directs the airflow in a straight, uniform sheet across the nozzle length. Ambient air is entrained into the primary airstream at a typical ratio of 40:1, maximizing force and volume while minimizing velocity loss and noise, producing a laminar, hard-hitting sheet of airflow.
