Conventional DC motors use a stationary magnet with a rotating armature combining the commutation segments and brushes to provide automatic commutation. In comparison, the brushless DC motor is a reversed design: the permanent magnet is rotating whereas the windings are part of the stator and can be energized without requiring a commutator-and-brush system. Therefore this motor type achieves very long, trouble-free life even while operating at very high speeds.

We are pleased to introduce the new BLDC brushless micro gearmotors. This new series completes Intecnos range of DC micro gearmotors and offers ideal solutions for sectors such as industrial automation, automatic doors and windows, vending and many others.
The BLDC motors from the BL series are available in 3 sizes (torque from 0,05 Nm to 0,43 Nm) and they can be supplied with an integrated (IE version) or external drive. They are compact and low-cost being equipped with Hall sensors. These motors have a low voltage 24V, which optmises safety in the workplace, particularly in applications where the worker can be in direct contact with the motor.
To complete the gearmotor, we would use the reliable micro planetary gearbox from our standard series.
Gearmotors made up of BL motors and LN (low noise) gearboxes are particularly suitable for applications in the medical field and for applications that require a controlled movement.

Baldor DC Gearmotors are available in 90 & 180 volts in both right angle and parallel shaft designs with industry standard mounting configurations. The Right Angle single reduction units feature an Internal Expansion Bladder and Mobil® SHC634 Synthetic oil for long maintenance free operation. The Internal Expansion Bladder keeps the lubrication free of contaminates by eliminating the need to vent the gearbox and allows all position mounting. This feature is exclusive to Baldor.

Mechanically commutated permanent magnet DC motors
Mechanically commutated permanent magnet motors are designed for operation with 24 V direct voltage and provide a nominal torque and a nominal speed with this voltage.
The exact motor speed is dependent on the required torque, according to the motor characteristic. Speed control is possible in conjunction with external open-loop control.
The lifetime of a mechanically commutated permanent magnet motor is designed for 3000 hours (operating factor CB=1 and nominal load) (carbon brush wear).

The new Intecno micro gearmotors series characteristics:
- Coaxial arrangement of the input and output
- Compact design
- Advantageous torque with minimum space requirements
- Low moments of inertia
- Suitable for continuous, reversing and intermittent operation
- Can be installed in any mounting position
Planetary gearboxes stand out for having a wide range of reduction ratios, It’s possible to obtain a total of 72 reduction ratios from i=3.7: 1 (1 stage) to i= 2076:1 (4 stages). Planetary gearboxes are lubricated with grease and are therefore maintenance-free.
This product can be personalized due to the possibility of using metal, plastic or material mix versions. The LN (low noise) version is also available: It significantly lowers the gearbox noise.
The distinguishing features of D.C. motors in general are their high start torque as well as a torque/speed ratio suitable for high work loads. Another important characteristic of the D.C. motor is its density.
Features:
- Magnetic field generated by permanent magnets
- Available in 5 sizes: diameter 35,42, 52, 65, 80 mm
- Low voltage power supply, 12 or 24 Vdc
- Power ratings available from 8 to 140 W S2
Intecno micro gearmotors are perfect for many applications, in any sector where both small dimensions and good performances are required. These characteristics are important in the medical sector, robotics and also in electric vehicles. Other important fields are shutters for windows/doors where the movement required can be obtained by Intecno’s small DC motors and planetary gears. Options such as a bearing mounted input shafts and DC motor controls are also available to complete the product.
