A diesel forklift truck consists of an industrial truck on a 3 or 4 wheel base, manipulating forks at the front which are attached to a vertical hydraulic mast and is powered by a diesel engine generally situated a the rear to help counterbalance the truck. The forklift is used to transport and handle heavy objects in an outdoor environment.
Diesel forklifts are generally used for exterior applications and can transport heavy loads. Regularly used in the loading and unloading of goods for manufacturing and warehouse industries.
With the diesel engine being situated at the rear of the engine, it is able to help counterbalance the goods to be handled. The manipulating forks are situated at the front of the truck and can be moved in horizontal and vertical directions. They are mounted onto the mast which is hydraulically powered with assistance from the diesel engine. The forklift can have a 3 or 4 wheel set-up, where the rear wheel(s) direct the truck.
