The right angle gear motor has an output shaft perpendicular to the input shaft. It combines a motor and gearing in a pre-assembled package. Any type of motor and gearing may be used, though worm and bevel gearing types have the advantage of being designed with perpendicular shafts.
These gear motors are used wherever it is important to have perpendicular input and output shafts.
