Overview
The UP Xtreme ARL Edge is Intel® ESQ-qualified and ships as a ruggedized, ready-to-deploy system optimized for industrial robotics, AGVs/AMRs, factory automation and other mission-critical edge applications. Its enclosure supports fanless operation and is engineered to resist shock, vibration and industrial noise while offering multiple mounting options and a lockable power connector.

I/O and expandability
The system combines modern high-bandwidth networking (dual Intel®-powered LANs including 2.5GbE) with legacy serial COM ports (RS-232/422/485) and the UP 40-pin GPIO for direct, real-time control. It supports multiple M.2 slots for SSDs, 5G and Wi‑Fi/BT modules and includes USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports for high-speed peripheral connectivity.

AI, compute and software support
The platform integrates an Intel® Arc™ 140T discrete GPU together with an Intel® AI Boost NPU, delivering up to 97 TOPS of AI inference capability. It supports common AI frameworks and is compatible with Windows®, Ubuntu and Yocto OS, enabling trained models to run natively on the device's NPU.
