Description

Product overview
German-made CH10 free chlorine sensor uses a membrane-covered amperometric 2-electrode system to measure pH-dependent free chlorine, designed for high concentrations in industrial process water. Compatible with inorganic chlorinating agents (NaOCl, Ca(OCl)2, chlorine gas, membrane cell electrolytic chlorine). Requires stable pH (5.0–8.0). Features surfactant resistance, mechanical durability, automatic temperature compensation and protection classes IP65/IP68. Available in analog (4–20 mA) and digital (Modbus RTU) variants. Zero-point adjustment not required; calibration by DPD-1 or iodometry.

Special features
  • Suitable for high chlorine concentrations up to 2000 ppm
  • Mechanically robust membrane system
  • Tolerant to surfactants
  • High chemical resistance
  • Operates with polluted measuring water

Applications
  • Washing of fruit, vegetables and poultry
  • Service and process water disinfection control in industrial facilities

Ambient conditions
  • Stable pH required: operate within pH 5.0–8.0 (observe HOCl/ClO- equilibrium)
  • Measuring water temperature: 0 … +45 °C (no ice crystals)
  • Ambient temperature: 0 … +55 °C
  • Max. temperature (related entries): 45 °C
  • Max. pressure: 1 bar (avoid pressure impulses/vibrations; consult installation notes)

Technical specification (table)
