Description
The DAT3580 isolated interface converter between asynchronous serial lines features complete isolation between power supply and asynchronous serial line RS-232 and serial line RS-485 or 422, making it ideal for use in demanding environmental conditions. This model can operate on RS-422 full-duplex 4 wires or RS485 half-duplex 2 wires and offers a baud-rate transmission of up to 115.2 Kbps. It provides asynchronous transmission and does not require manual setting of protocol, data format and baud rate. The RS-232 line doesn't need any handshake commands such as RTS or CTS, for baud rate regulation. These units feature DIN rail mounting, optimizing installation and space requirements and can even be mounted side by side (based on cooling capabilities), further reducing needed space.
