Shield-break heat-shrinkable joint for 1-core polymeric insulated (XLPE) cable with mechanical protection sheath (AR). Available in a version with external grounding. The kit includes stress-control, insulating, multilayer insulating-semi-conductive and adhesive-lined protective heat-shrink tubes. Hot-melt adhesive ensures watertight sealing. Compliant with CENELEC HD 629.1 S2 and CEI 20-62/1.
Application details
Designed to electrically isolate cable screens and to separate different earthing systems. The version with an external braid allows direct grounding of the screens. Suitable for cables with impact-protection sheaths such as "Airbag" or "Shockproof". Typical applications: wind and photovoltaic installations.
