Product descriptionThe Krause Model 421/II stepped film applicator produces up to six parallel film strips with graduated film thickness in a single pass. It is designed for laboratory and quality-control testing of coating materials to evaluate thickness-dependent properties such as hiding power, adhesion, color strength, effect formation, cure behavior and coating defects. When used together with the COATMASTER 509 MC-III, cure behavior as a function of film thickness can be analyzed immediately after application. The device also enables straightforward evaluation of the relationship between application parameters (gap height, draw speed) and film results (wet and dry film thickness).
