Description
The Hardinge Sure-Grip® Expanding Collet System is designed for internal gripping of larger-diameter bores. The Sure-Grip® mechanism delivers a wider gripping range and increased gripping force through true parallel closing. The #400 series covers bores from 1.50 to 2.249 in (38.1 to 57.12 mm). Collets are available in 1/64 in increments within the stated range. Each collet will hold a workpiece bore from -0.001 in (0.0254 mm) under to +0.015 in (0.38 mm) over the nominal collet size. Minimum bore for light gripping is 1/8 in (3.175 mm).
