The Hardinge Sure-Grip® Expanding Collet System is designed for internal gripping of larger-diameter bores. The system delivers a wide gripping range and increased gripping force through true parallel closing. The #500 series expanding collets accommodate sizes from 2-1/4" to 2.999" (57.15 to 76.17 mm); collets are available in 1/64" increments. Each collet will hold a workpiece bore from -0.001" (0.0254 mm) under to +0.015" (0.38 mm) over the nominal collet size.
